At the beginning of 2015, we submitted a competition entry to a corporate organization for a multi-storey office development. Sustainability was a major priority for the Client. The location of the site gave several challenges especially since it was along a major road. This meant that a portion of the site had to be used for secondary access and the development carried out with what was left. The parking requirements also meant that some sub-grade parking was required.
In order to satisfy the requirements for sustainability, energy saving and environmental friendliness, the design features included extensive sun-shading over curtain wall glazing and roof gardens at various levels. Even though our submission was not the winning entry, we are very pleased with the outcome of the work we put into this competition.
