Ayoola Onajide, FNIA Pr. Arch, RIBA FIoD Int’l Assoc. AIA founded ATO Architects in 1987 designing a diverse range of projects for clients in various sectors including religious, governmental, corporate, healthcare and aviation. He became Chairman of the Board in 2019 offering leadership guidance and business development strategy to the board.
Ayoola Onajide trained as a Chartered Architect in the United Kingdom and returned to work as Godwin and Hopwood and later at James Cubitt and Partners in Lagos. In addition to his architectural education, he also enrolled in the Lagos Business School Chief Executive programme.
He has served as Chairman and member of various committees of the Nigerian Institute of Architects. He is currently the President of Association of Consulting Architects Nigeria ACAN, Diocesan Architect for the Anglican communion in Lagos, Chairman of Lead Capital Plc, and a member of Council of the environmental trust, Nigerian Conservation Foundation.
Ekaete has worked in Architecture and Construction as an Architect and Project Manager since 1991. She holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science degree both in Architecture from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Nigeria in West Africa. She is a full member of the Nigerian Institute of Architects. She is registered with the Architects Registration Council of Nigeria and an International Associate of the American Institute of Architects. She is a LEED Accredited Professional, a Certified Playground Safety Inspector (NPSI) and a Licensed Builder in the State of Michigan. She has completed a total of 40 hours of OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) training for the Construction Industry.
She joined ATO Architects in 1994 and became a Director in 1998. Ekaete is a strong project and design Architect who has won several design competitions. Her experience includes work in Physical Needs Assessment, Estimating, Project Management, Design, Facilities Management and Master Planning for Financial Institutions, Housing Projects, Educational Institutions, Playgrounds, Recreational Facilities, Oil & Gas and the Aviation Industry. She is a keen writer and has published several articles in the areas of Architecture and Construction. She cycles and plays lawn tennis for leisure and loves reading, music and African drama.
Ugo has worked in Architecture as Architect and Project Manager since 2000. She holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science degree both in Architecture from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Nigeria. She is a member of the Nigerian Institute of Architects, qualifying with the highest scores in the professional examinations in 2005.
She joined ATO Architects in 2000 after several stints as an intern between 1996 and 1999, and became a Director in 2006. Ugo is a skilled project and design Architect with strong administrative and documentation skills. She has extensive Project Management experience. Her experience includes work in Aviation, Oil & Gas, Institutional and Religious buildings, Interior Refits for the Commercial and Hospitality sectors, and Monitoring and Evaluation of public sector projects. Ugo currently manages the Abuja and northern regional interests of the practice from the firm’s Abuja office.
She reads and listens to classical music for leisure.
Rita received a Master of Science Degree in Architecture from Edo State University, Ekpoma in 1997.
She joined ATO Architects in 2002 after some years of hands-on experience in the construction industry. She became a member of the Nigerian Institute of Architects and registered with the Architects Registration Council of Nigeria in 2006.
She has a firm grasp of design documentation and contract administration. Her attention to details matched by a calm yet strong mental composure has earned her the role of Director, coordinating the firm’s Quality Management system in addition to heading a team of Project Architects.
Rita has worked on a broad range of projects in the corporate and finance industries as well as in housing. Her projects include the documentation of the Corporate Head Office for the Federal Inland Revenue Service. Her greatest strengths include project management and project documentation and the production of construction drawings and documentation.
Tolani Nkili Onajide was educated at Headington Girls’ School, Oxford and then at the Architectural Association School of Architecture, London. She then moved to Dundee School of Architecture, Scotland to complete her master's programme. With her particular passion for urban design, she chose her master's thesis in the urban design of Manhattan. Having spent some of the years in Manhattan, New York, studying its urban grid, her thesis title was 'Manhattan's urban grid for the development of Silicon Glen on the Edinburgh city edge'.
After completing her masters, she worked on the design team at Pattern Architects on the FIFA World Cup stadium Qatar 2022. She has also previously worked contractor side with Bouygues Construction. At her time there, she was on the design management team delivering Queen's Park Place, Kilburn alongside Simpson Haugh Architects. Queen's Park Place is a £65 million 144 unit, high-end residential development.
Since joining the practice in 2018, she has worked with the firm in securing and managing her projects across Europe. She also assists the firm in gaining European clients wanting to deliver projects in Africa. She completed her architecture postgraduate diploma professional practice at Westminster University. She is registered on the Architect’s Registration Board and is a RIBA Chartered Member.
Blessing became a Qualified Associate Chartered Accountant with ICAN in 2008. Having worked for over Eighteen (18) years in various capacities, tasks, and experience, she has been able to deliver excellent results, reports and meet requirements of both internal and external clients. She has worked on different projects both Accountant and Business Manager.
She has represented the firm with Government, Corporate and Private clients including CBN, FIRS, NSITF, NNP, TETFUND, FRCN UBA, FBN, Stanbic, Shell, Mobil, Channels TV, Sheraton, and NOVA.
Toyin Caulcrick has worked in Architecture and Construction as an Architect and Project Manager since 2003. He holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Environmental Science degree both in Architecture from the University of Lagos, Nigeria. He is an Associate Member of the Nigerian Institute of Architects. He joined ATO Architects in 2003 and became an Associate in 2010. Toyin Caulcrick is a strong project and design Architect who has won several design competitions. His experience includes work in Project Management, Design and Master Planning for Financial Institutions, Housing Projects, Educational Institutions, Oil & Gas and the Aviation Industry.
