CBN Centers of Excellence

CBN’s Centres of Excellence at the University of Nigeria Enugu Campus, The University of Ibadan and the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria

After working on a few projects for CBN, we were approached to do a design prototype for a Centre of Excellence in 3 Nigerian Universities; the University of Ibadan, University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. The Centre of Excellence was conceived by the CBN as a world-class business school that would produce Nigerian graduates in various business and financial disciplines, who are sufficiently trained to compete with graduates of world-renowned business schools.
We designed the Centre of Excellence as State-of-the-Art institutional complexes comprising faculty buildings and Student hostels. The faculty buildings each have a 500-seater auditorium,
large lecture rooms, libraries, computer rooms, student and staff cafeteria spaces. The hostels each have approximately 150 bedrooms.
The contract was awarded in 2008 for all 3 universities. Construction commenced in the Enugu and Zaria sites in 2009 and finished in 2012 whilst the Ibadan site, which broke ground on November 2010 was completed in 2013.
