After working on a few projects for CBN, we were approached to design a prototype for a Centre of Excellence to be located in 3 Nigerian Universities: University of Ibadan, University of Nigeria, Enugu
Campus, and Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. The Centre of Excellence was conceived by the CBN a world-class business school that would produce Nigerian graduates in various business and financial
disciplines, who are sufficiently trained to compete with graduates of world renowned business schools.
We designed the Centre of Excellence as state-of-the-art institutional complexes comprising faculty buildings and student hostels. The faculty buildings each have a 500-seater auditorium, large lecture
rooms, libraries, computer rooms, student and staff cafeteria spaces.
The hostels each have approximately 150 fully-fitted rooms with study rooms and student lounges.
The contract was awarded in 2008 for all 3 universities. Construction commenced in the Enugu and Zaria sites in 2009, and finished in 2019 and 2017 respectively whilst the Ibadan site, which broke ground in November 2010 was completed in 2017.
