ATO Architects won the design competition to design a master plan for Corona Secondary School, Agbara, which included student hostels, a dining hall, additional classroom/administrative blocks and recreational facilities for Corona Secondary School, Agbara. The hostel was first the first building implemented.
The contract was awarded in July 2006. The Girls’ Hostel was designed to accommodate the growing population of the school. The firm was required to design for a population of 720 students in the ratio of 390 boys to 330 girls.
ATO Architects provided for dwelling rooms of various sizes to accommodate 2,4, 6 students per room. Recreation/game rooms, reading rooms and storage spaces were also provided on each floor. Provisions for the laundry, matron, nurse and an infirmary were also provided over 4 floors. The building was completed in 2009.
