Another building designed by the firm during the boom of the financial services industry was a building on the corner of Awolowo Road and Omo Osagie Streets in South West Ikoyi.
This building was originally a residential development on 2 floors overlooking the polo field on its southern side and Awolowo road on its northern side. The clients lived there and moved out because the street eventually became a high street.
The design idea was to have a simple open plan with access through a lift and stair on east and west elevations. The circular stair was a bold attempt at the time, to frame the elevation with recessed openings in the north allowing air
conditioning hidden in deep balconies.
The building has 8 floors with a penthouse and ground floor parking. At one time, it became the highest commercial building on the street. The reinforced concrete structure sits on 40m long piles, as the soil beneath is a reclaimed swampy/marshy area.
It is now a mixed-use commercial facility for several businesses. Its location at the end of Awolowo Road provides enviable visibility to businesses using the building.
