The scope included creating the design drawings, obtaining planning approval and tender documentation. The project, which lasted for 2 years, was completed in 2009. We created an extension by increasing the footprint of an existing 25-year old property in the heart of Sandton, Johannesburg in South Africa.
We removed internal walls and opened up the house. The additional floor area doubled the overall floor area. The design added a new kitchen, bathrooms, lounge and an additional master bedroom.
ATO Architects applied for and received building/planning approval. We worked with a local structural engineer and contractor in completing the project.
